以前要找外掛或是某些網站幫你，官方支援後省不少事 XD

VLC 的跨平台支援...

二月底的老新聞了，VLC 首次全平台釋出 (包括了桌機與行動平台)：「VLC Gets First Major Cross-Platform Release」，引用的新聞是：「VLC gets first major release across Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Windows RT, and Android TV」。

經典的播放軟體，雖然平常在 Linux 上還是用 SMPlayer 比較習慣...

Mozilla 的 Shumway 登陸 Firefox Nightly Channel

Mozilla 的 Shumway 專案是用 JavaScript 實作的 Flash Player，算是把 Flash Plugin 淘汰掉的方案：

Shumway is an HTML5 technology experiment that explores building a faithful and efficient renderer for the SWF file format without native code assistance.

由於是跑在 JavaScript 內，安全性受到 SpiderMonkey 的 Sandbox 保護，相較於 Adobe 常常出 security update 讓人有點頭痛...

最近 Shumway 的大進展是在 Firefox Nightly Channel 啟用了部份網站，可以測試 Amazon.com 上的影片：「Firefox Nightly now plays Amazon.com Flash videos using Shumway」。

不知道有沒有機會 porting 到 Google Chrome 上面...

Firefox 以 JavaScript 支援 Flash

標題不知道怎麼下比較好...

一樣是在 Zite 上看到的消息，Firefox 將引入內建的 Flash Player，是以 JavaScript 實做的：「HTML5 Flash Player (Shumway ) landed」。

專案在 GitHub 的 mozilla/shumway，Mozilla 的 Bugzilla 則是在「Bug 904346 - (shumway) [meta] add built-in SWF support to Firefox with Shumway」這裡。

純 JavaScript 的實做版本，有機會 porting 到 Chrome 上嗎？感覺安全性問題會少很多？(或是被發現安全性問題的時間？)

微軟提供的 IE{7,8,9,10} 測試環境...

微軟前幾天公開了 IE{7,8,9,10} 測試服務：「Testing made easier in Internet Explorer」。

測試服務包括：

  • 網站版本，可以測試公開網站。
  • 虛擬機版本，可以測試內部網站。這次除了提供 Virtual PC 與 Hyper-V 版本的映像檔外，還提供了 VMware Player 與 VirtualBox 版本。

不過這些檔案會不會太大了點... 我是抓 VirtualBox 版本，IE10_Win8.zip 居然有 2.7GB，為了真實模擬，所以把整個 Win8 包進去嗎 XDDD

不安裝 Adobe DLM 的前提下安裝 Adobe Flash Player 11.x

兩年前寫的「直接安裝 Adobe Flash Player 而不安裝 DLM」這篇已經過時了，新的網址是：

抓下 exe 檔後直接執行就可以了。

Ubuntu 10.10 amd64 版

把桌機換成 Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop amd64 版，比以以前有一堆東西要自己設定，裝好到現在還沒遇到問題，本來預期的問題也都隨著時間而解決了：

  • Linux amd64 下 rmvb 的支援，不論是內建的 Totem 還是 smplayer 都沒問題，而且 smplayer 還可以加速播放 (聲音頻率不會跑掉)，跟之前在 Windows 下用 KMPlayer 的模式一樣...
  • Linux amd64 下 Flash Player 的支援也已經 okay 了，目前版本也已經是 10.2，該有的都有了...

繼續研究...

Adobe Flash Player 10.2

有很多地方都有報導，引官方 Adobe Flash Player Team Blog 的新聞稿好了：「Flash Player 10.2 is Here: Available Now for Windows, Mac, and Linux」。

新版的 Flash Player 主打「Stage Video」(參考「Getting started with stage video」這篇文章)，將 video rendering 的部份丟給顯卡加速。(雖然還是有很多限制)

不透過 DLM 安裝的方式可以參考「直接安裝 Adobe Flash Player 而不安裝 DLM」這篇。另外要透過 AD 派送的可以到「Download Adobe® Flash® Player」這邊下載 msi 檔。

以目前的發展來看，Flash 只剩下 Video 這塊功用了...
