利用 Smart TV 監控的技術也成熟了...

透過 WikiLeaks 公開出來的文件得知 CIA 與 MI5 都已經有能力將後門埋入 Samsung 的 Smart TV 內：「The CIA Spied on People Through Their Smart TVs, Leaked Documents Reveal」。

Hackers at the Central Intelligence Agency, with the help of colleagues from the British spy agency MI5, developed malware to secretly spy on targets through their Samsung Smart TVs, according to new documents published by WikiLeaks.

這個後門在 Fake-Off 模式中仍然可以繼續運作：

The malware was designed to keep the smart TVs on even when they were turned off. This was dubbed "Fake-Off mode," according to the documents.

甚至可以控制 LED 燈，讓被監控人無法得知現在 Smart TV 其實還在運作中：

The CIA hackers even developed a way to "suppress" the TVs LED indicators to improve the "Fake-Off" mode.

突然想到該找時間複習 1984，裡面描述的概念現在在生活週邊愈來愈多了...

美國政府暗中介入好萊塢的劇本，影響大眾對戰爭的看法

透過 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 取得的資料顯示美國政府 (包括了五角大廈、CIA、NSA) 如何介入好萊塢，影響大眾對於戰爭的看法：「EXCLUSIVE: Documents expose how Hollywood promotes war on behalf of the Pentagon, CIA and NSA」。

灰標「US military intelligence agencies have influenced over 1,800 movies and TV shows」可以看出影響的層面。

The documents reveal for the first time the vast scale of US government control in Hollywood, including the ability to manipulate scripts or even prevent films too critical of the Pentagon from being made — not to mention influencing some of the most popular film franchises in recent years.

從很意想不到的地方介入... 引用其中一個說明：

Jon Voight in Transformers — in this scene, just after American troops have been attacked by a Decepticon robot, Pentagon Hollywood liaison Phil Strub inserted the line ‘Bring em home’, granting the military a protective, paternalistic quality, when in reality the DOD does quite the opposite.

CIA 老大告訴參議員，在加密系統裡放後門是可行的，因為沒有公司可以逃離美國魔掌

如同標題講的，CIA 老大 John Brennan 告訴參議員，因為實務上不存在「Non-US encryption」，所以強制任何要進入美國的企業使用美版帶有後門的加密系統是可行的：「Non-US encryption is 'theoretical,' claims CIA chief in backdoor debate」。

CIA director John Brennan told US senators they shouldn't worry about mandatory encryption backdoors hurting American businesses.

And that's because, according to Brennan, there's no one else for people to turn to: if they don't want to use US-based technology because it's been forced to use weakened cryptography, they'll be out of luck because non-American solutions are simply "theoretical."

這位腦袋已經壞掉了啊，你知道有個叫做 China，拼做 C-h-i-n-a 的經濟體系嗎... 然後中美共用同一套有後門的加密系統瞬間就會被一堆人打槍，如果真的發生，還有個歐盟... 而且這些事情只是促進以色列的安全系統加速脫離美國掌控啊？以色列才是目前資安的超級強國啊...

這世界上有太多已經不是掌握在美國的東西了啊...

美國年輕人的理想職業

紐約時報報導 National Society of High School Scholars 問了一萬八千名美國年輕人 (15～29 歲) 理想的職業，也不少出乎意料的結果跑出來：「The New Dream Jobs」。

常見的網路公司在上面，但讓紐約時報感到意外的，FBI、CIA 與 NSA 也在上面：

When the National Society of High School Scholars asked 18,000 Americans, ages 15 to 29, to rank their ideal future employers, the results were curious. To nobody’s surprise, Google, Apple and Facebook appeared high on the list, but so did the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency.

不過應該是不意外？在教育體系被灌輸愛國主義不就很容易就有這樣的結果？
