Zoom 解釋免費版將不會有 End-to-end encryption 的時候,大家都傻翻了:「Zoom's Commitment to User Security Depends on Whether you Pay It or Not」,這邊 Bruce Schneier 引用了 Bloomberg 對 Zoom 的 CEO 袁征的訪談:「Zoom Transforms Hype Into Huge Jump in Sales, Customers」。

Corporate clients will get access to Zoom’s end-to-end encryption service now being developed, but Yuan said free users won’t enjoy that level of privacy, which makes it impossible for third parties to decipher communications.

“Free users for sure we don’t want to give that because we also want to work together with FBI, with local law enforcement in case some people use Zoom for a bad purpose,” Yuan said on the call.

XDDD:「Intel was aware of the chip vulnerability when its CEO sold off $24 million in company stock」,引用的新聞是「Intel's CEO Just Sold a Lot of Stock」:

On Nov. 29, Brian Krzanich, the CEO of chip giant Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), reported several transactions in Intel stock in a Form 4 filing with the SEC.

Those two transactions left Krzanich with exactly 250,000 shares -- the bare minimum that he's required to hold as CEO.

Cloudflare 的 CEO Matthew Prince,將會被法院傳喚說明 Cloudflare 在沒有收到法院傳票的情況下就終止服務的原因,以及一直不肯在沒有法院傳票的情況下移除盜版網站的 policy:「Cloudflare CEO Has to Explain Lack of Pirate Site Terminations」。

In August, Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince decided to terminate the account of controversial neo-Nazi site Daily Stormer.

Just a few days ago Cloudflare suspended the account of a customer for using a cryptocurrency miner. Apparently, Cloudflare classifies these miners as malware, triggering a punishment without a court order.

Uber

Uber 在倫敦將會被停業:「Uber has license to operate in London revoked」、「London regulator announces Uber ban」、「Uber London loses licence to operate」。

Transport for London (TfL), which operates public transport in the capital, has made the decision not to renew the app-based taxi’s license in the city.

The license was renewed in May, but for a period of only five months. It will run out on 30th September, though the company will be allowed to continue to operate during the appeal process.

According to the TfL regulatory board, the ‘approach and conduct’ of Uber showed a lack of corporate responsibility, which could have resulted in public safety and security issues. It also raised concerns with the company’s ‘approach to explaining the use of Greyball, software that could be used to block regulatory bodies from gaining full access to the app.’

新任 CEO 則是出來道歉:「Uber CEO apologizes for “mistakes” in London」。

CMUCS (Computer Science) 發的新聞稿:「Carnegie Mellon Offers New Master's Degree in Product Management」。

One-Year Program Turns Computer Professionals Into "CEOs of the Product"

A joint program of the university's School of Computer Science (SCS) and Tepper School of Business, the Master of Science in Product Management (MSPM) program will start January 2018.

Slack

Slack:「Source: Microsoft mulled an $8 billion bid for Slack, will focus on Skype instead」。

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and CEO Satya Nadella were among those unconvinced by the idea, with Gates pushing instead to add more features into Skype to make it more competitive with Slack in the business market, our source says.
