在 那邊看到星界の戦旗 III 的消息 (不含內容)，剛好我前幾天問 另外一本小說 (呃，臨時忘記名字了... 提醒一下？:Q) 會不會像永野大神的五星一樣 blah blah... XD (不過我後來忘記 說什麼了 Q_Q)

Anyway... 戰旗相當棒的啊，到時候一定要去看的 :p

SimpleBits

這篇 Miss the old SimpleBits design? 指出了 Palm Drawing, Painting, and Animation Software 抄襲他舊的版面。

嗯，唯一不一樣的地方大概是抄襲站台的 Copyright 這樣寫：

Copyright pending site update, with apologies to one person, you-are-right's to approximately 20 others, thus far, and an "Up Yours!" to the rest.

GPLv3 可能會再延期

上報導了 GPLv3 很有可能會再延期：GPL v3 Coming Out in 2007?。

會有這麼大的問題就是在於 GPLv2 有一段話：

The Free Software Foundation may publish revised and/or new versions of the General Public License from time to time. Such new versions will be similar in spirit to the present version, but may differ in detail to address new problems or concerns.

Each version is given a distinguishing version number. If the Program specifies a version number of this License which applies to it and "any later version", you have the option of following the terms and conditions either of that version or of any later version published by the Free Software Foundation. If the Program does not specify a version number of this License, you may choose any version ever published by the Free Software Foundation.

於是就大爆炸了：如果 GPLv3 有問題的話，那麼會有許多軟體當場鳥掉。

其實比較好的做法是直接放棄 這個名字，改用其他的名字來發展新的 License Agreement，不過有很多政治角力在裡面而不可行 :p (因為有很多廠商希望 GPLv3 有更寬鬆的做法，這樣他們就可以惡搞那些沒有指定 "GPLv2" 而是 "GPLv2 or later version" 的軟體)

苦啊 :p

在光碟機上進行版權控制

在 看到 與 想要在新規格的光碟機上做版權控制 (事實上是 Self-Destruction 的功能)：Blu-Ray to Include New Copy Protection。

至於這個保護能撐多久嘛... 大概是光碟機正式出貨後一個禮拜吧，到時候一定會有「工程版」，或是直接在電路上面拿鉛筆畫一畫之類的解法...

ibiblio 提供 Bittorrent Download 服務

這篇 BitTorrent for Content Providers 提到了 將提供各種軟體及影片，以 的方式下載：、Osprey：Peer-to-peer enabled content distribution。

於是 可以提供穩定的 Seed 來源，而又可以利用 高速下載，但又可以節省 的頻寬 :)
