Evan Williams (Blogger 與 Twitter 的創辦人) 認為 domain 的重要性愈來愈低，給出了五個原因：「Five Reasons Domains Are Getting Less Important」。
五個原因分別是「Google 提供的搜尋」、「輸入網址的自動完成功能」、「行動裝置無法顯示完整網址」、「Apps」、「事實證明很多網站不需要 .com 也能成功」XD
不過他自己在文章的一開頭也有講：
While I'm still a sucker for a clean .com, it does seem less important, and it will continue to become less important, ...
所以有機會搶到 .com 的話還是乖乖的去搶吧... XD
