換 Hosting

Blog 以及 files.gslin.org 從 換出來了，到不是 不好 (我那台主機最近還蠻穩的 XD)，而是在測試便宜的 Delicated Dedicated Hosting...

機器現在是 5.4-RELEASE-p14，也許哪天膽子大再來 remote upgrade to 6.1-RELEASE。(也要等到 6.1 出啦...)

Update：到現在的紀錄：

  • 可以感覺到機器前有台 stateful firewall 卡著，因為從交大連過去的連線 idle 太久會斷掉？
  • 不小心在下 ifconfig 時弄爛 IP address 設定，於是到系統裡 submit ticket 請他們按 Ctrl-Alt-Delete 或是直接 Reset，五分鐘內這個 ticket 就回報「已經轉送到 Data Center」，然後過半個小時後發現機器回來了。

  • 總是有機會改到不管重開幾次都會進 single user mode，這時候可能得自己來... 我不清楚這個 Data Center 有沒有提供「給 instruction 照著做」的服務 XD

    所以送 ticket 詢問 Remote Network KVM 的價錢：每次收 USD$30，可以使用二十四個小時，送出 ticket 後需要兩個小時安裝 Remote Network KVM。

  • 送 ticket 要求改個反解，結果發現一堆搞笑的設定。

    72.36.224.x (224.36.72.in-addr.arpa) 是由 ns{1,2}allneo.com 與 ns{1,2}.layeredtech.com 所管，只有後面兩台有改成 colo-s4s.hasname.com -_- 而且 ns{1,2}.allneo.com 上面登記的 NS RR 居然是 ns{1,2,3,4}.allneo.com，仔細查下去發現 ns{3,4} 的記錄也是錯的...，晚點再送 ticket。

祖母

星期五中午我媽打電話給在新竹的我，叫我回家，因為祖母走了。

她自從前幾年摔到後身體就不太好，加上有糖尿病，其實大家都有心理準備，只是對我而言，從上個禮拜...。

我中午接完電話後先去找指導教授，在他桌上留個字條 (不在辦公室)，之後就住處整理一些衣物回台北。回來後就去看看祖母，然後摺一些元寶，接下來的事情大多都是我爸媽在處理，剩下的時間就是聊聊天，不然就是做些自己的事情...

所以... (悶)

Digg 與 ForeverGeek

先記錄下來 (照文章出現的時間，不過後來有不少 "Update" 是放在原來的文章裡面，所以會有點亂...)，標題暫時就訂這樣。

主要是在講 發現被 封掉後的幹剿文章。

Wikipedia 與 Wikitruth

當 上的編輯與 高層人士的意見相左時要怎麼辦？在 上的 Censored Wikipedia Articles Appear On Protest Site 報導了 ( 的發起人之一，前陣子來過台灣) 連續刪除 條目六次，並設下在一年內不得重新建立該條目的限制。

於是這些編輯就把資料取回，放到 管不到的地方：。

CxxA

因為星期二早上打算要去板橋送朋友最後一程，但是那天有兩個期中考要考 (一個下午一點半，一個晚上六點半)，所以打算問下午一點半的那位老師能不能提早考 (或是補考，anyway...)，學弟把去年的考古題掃進去壓成 zip 檔，我把這些檔案用 丟上 ：CATC (Cisco 課程考試考古題)。

念了這些東西才能夠瞭解：為什麼我跟很多考過 CxxA 的人溝通有困難...

PS：我還是覺得這門課開在研究所很奇怪...

麥當勞

：McDonalds is healthy in Denmark，原新聞連結在 Fast food healthiest in Denmark, worst in US。

原因是麥當勞在不同國家使用的比例不一樣？humm...

A large meal of chicken nuggets and french fries at McDonald's in the United States contained 10.1 grams of trans fatty acids, while the same meal in France contained 5.9 grams and just 0.33 grams in Denmark, Steen Stender, who headed the research project, told AFP.

"Many people think that wherever you go in the world you get the same thing at McDonald's, but in fact that is not the case," Stender told AFP.

XML 規格問題

XML 對於 '<'、'>' 以及 '&' 在 http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xml-20040204/#syntax 有蠻完整的說明，當初寫 wretchblog-rss20.pl (無名 Blog 轉 RSS 2.0) 時有參考過：

The ampersand character (&) and the left angle bracket (<) MUST NOT appear in their literal form, except when used as markup delimiters, or within a comment, a processing instruction, or a CDATA section. If they are needed elsewhere, they MUST be escaped using either numeric character references or the strings "&amp;" and "&lt;" respectively. The right angle bracket (>) MAY be represented using the string "&gt;", and MUST, for compatibility, be escaped using either "&gt;" or a character reference when it appears in the string "]]>" in content, when that string is not marking the end of a CDATA section.

不過當初沒有管到 '>' 這個，再加上置換的順序錯了，於是就爛了：實戰演練：無名 blog 資料移轉。
